MXN $350.00 Pesos A-1 Hummingbird Feeder

Hummingbirds rely on nectar for up to 90% of their diet. Feeders attract hummingbirds to your garden and help to ensure that our native species have a sufficient supply of nectar year-round. For our migratory species, feeders ensure an ample supply of energy for withstanding the rigors of fall and spring migrations and will help to prevent a food gap if warmer temperatures caused by climate change encourage their natural food sources to bloom before their arrival.

The "Best" Hummingbird Feeder carried by by Audubon de Mexico, is a guaranteed hummingbird pleaser! The red base attracts hummers and makes it possible for them to perch while drinking. It is easy to clean and designed to prevent other birds, bees and wasps from drinking the syrup. Our bird guides and many Audubon members have had great success attracting hummingbirds to their garden using the Best feeder.

The 32 oz size means you can feed a lot of hummers once they find you, and in the meantime, you can simply fill the feeder half-full with a mixture of 4 parts water and 1 part white sugar to ensure that the nectar stays fresh. One of our members uses a simple sugar solution available at stores that sell liquor and spirits. Just pour and serve!

MXN $70.00 Pesos Birds of San Miguel Guide

Get to know our local birds! No more frantic thumbing through a dense Sibley's or other bird guide trying to figure out the name of that bird outside your window! The second edition of the Birds of San Miguel, printed in February 2015, now includes 81 of the most common birds seen in and around San Miguel de Allende and helps you to identify these birds through photos and a description of field marks, habitat, when you will likely see it, and its song or call.

A handy guide to keep near a window in your home or take along with you to a local park or other outdoor setting!

Free with Audubon new or renewing membership.
